Operation Blessing International Peru Adobe Ovens

 High in the Upper Andes of Peru, villagers use open flame fire pits inside their home to cook meals and heat their house. But with no chimney to ventilate, the carbon-filled smoke covers the walls with black soot and fills the lungs of families with the toxic air. OBI has partnered with the First Lady of Peru to buy materials to build custom-made adobe ovens with chimneys. A gift of $30 can purchase materials for one oven and help support OBI’s joint efforts with the First Lady to bring education, hygiene facilities, nutrition and more to these impoverished communities.
